What Makes Us Unique From Other Non-Profits
Law Enforcement United’s Annual Memorial Ride
Each May our membership comes together in Chesapeake, VA & Reading, PA to participate in an annual bicycle trek to Washington, DC. The routes are 250+ miles long and Law Enforcement Officers, and Survivors nationwide make this arduous journey pedaling to honor the service and sacrifice of their law enforcement colleagues and family members who have died in the line of duty. Our membership is also comprised of logistical support including motor escorts, medical staff, food, hotel, and transportation support team members who support each of these riders during the three day journey. The officers and survivors also ride to raise awareness of and provide monetary support toConcerns of Police Survivors© (C.O.P.S.) and Officer Down Memorial Page© (O.D.M.P.).
C.O.P.S. provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty. Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
How LEU Supports C.O.P.S.

We are truly a not for profit organization! Law Enforcement United operates entirely by donations and volunteers. Our Executive Board works on a 100% volunteer basis with NO salaries or stipends paid. We want our donations to go to the programs we support, not to paychecks. We strive to be fiscally responsible with our operational costs to ensure overhead is low and in the best interest of our members and donors.
Law Enforcement United appreciates all donations received big or small. All donations are tax deductible. There are six levels of sponsors that we publicly recognize.
We are always looking for donations of goods and services to help support our riders and support team such as gift cards for food, water, Gatorade, gasoline, medical supplies, bicycle parts, vehicles, trailers, and office consumables. Goods and or services donated in the sponsor level amounts will also count towards sponsorship!
